JAMS 2.51

JAMS 2.51 is out with a couple minor improvements:
* MobileControl will now return users' away messages when using the "info" command
* The issue with MobileControl and the """ entities has been resolved.
* The issue with IconMaker not showing up for many users due to an invalid key has been resolved.

Also, apologies for not better explaining the keying issue and what it means to API developers. The "You know what that means" good news in the prior API Update post was simply intended to mean that the official release of the API is in its final stages. With regards to the keying, all it means is that you will need to come to our developer web page to obtain a (free) key string, just like you do for the AIM Presence Web Service (or any of Google's Web APIs). This allows us to identify the customers of the API, and protect ourselves and our users from malware plugins. If you have further questions on this topic, please let me know... it will all become clear when the API is released.

The license plate here was seen while driving by the Apple campus while out in California. VV (W?), thanks for your support!

new bug with the mobilecontrol.

When you ask for the away message it displays html instead of plain text giving a message like __________is away: <HTML><BODY BGCOLOR="#FFFFFF"><FONT ABSZ=12 SIZE=3 FACE="Lucida Grande" LANG="0" >at class on north until six thirty....<BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>a smile   to brighten your day.</FONT></BODY></HTML>

and in this case it took 6 text messages to display. However, when requesting the persons status who is using times new roman and no breaks it displays just fine.

Also, It doesn't say whether the person is away and idle or just away

I'm sure you'll make the announcement here (with appropriate links) when the official release of the API "goes golden".  Thanks in advance for the announcement and where to go for the sample code and reference materials.

ksc2l8, could you give an example screenname with an away message that causes this issue? Our code should be stripping out all those HTML tags, and the stripping is working for the away messages I tried.

I can give you the message that was in the IM conversation with my phone and i'm sure you could make it up with the html code.
<HTML><BODY BGCOLOR="#FFFFFF"><FONT ABSZ=12 SIZE=3 FACE="Lucida Grande" LANG="0" >at class on north until six thirty....<BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>a smile  :-D to brighten your day.</FONT></BODY></HTML>

It did strip out the html code when the font was in times new roman though.

my IconMaker is still broken and the .dll does in fact say that it is version 2.5.1.1... :-(

Oh and considering the away message limit is 2000 characters and the textmessage limit is i believe 200 it should give you the first away 180 charactors then tell you to respond with the number 1 or something if you want the next 6 text messages if it makes a difference the person was idle as well as away.

A cool feature to be added in the next version which im sure a lot of people would like is for there to be a PROPER alphabetical sort within groups.

I would love to be able to sort alphabetically within groups people either by screen name or by their "friendly name".

this would be a real cool feature. "sorter" or whatever u wanna call it! please post some feedback on the idea.

Looks like I have 2 IconMakers listed in my Plugins.  2.5 and then farther down 2.51.  Great job so far :)

How are we supposed to test out JAMS if we can't get into any of the settings?  Sounds like some people are already playing with JAMS, how are they doing this?

The "Settings" button is to change various settings of a plugin. Not all plugins will have adjustable settings; in JAMS 2.51, only Colorizer has a setting dialog box (where you can adjust the time it takes to cycle through all the colors, among other things). In other words, you can fully use JAMS without the Settings buttons working.

In the future, other JAMS plugins will have adjustable settings; EzLogger will have an option to log timestamps, etc.

not sure if anyone has asked this b4..havent gone through every single post.... but what does JAMS need to have a chat logger if triton has its own built in?
