JAMS 2.0!

Finally... JAMS 2.0 is out!

It requires Triton Beta 6. Use in Triton Beta 5 will probably cause "undesirable operation". Our plugin API is now locked down, so JAMS 2.0 should work with all future Triton builds.

Here's what's new:
* Easier to use - plugins are automatically enabled when you install. You can disable ones you don't want to use using the plugin tab in Triton's settings.
* Blops - Import and export your buddylist using BLT files (Greg)
* EZFormat - Add *bold*, /italic/, or _underline_ in your IMs easily (me)
* PhoneNumToLink - Incoming phone numbers in IMs are converted to hyperlinks, when you click them they trigger an AIM VOIP call (Steven)

Also, updates to:
* MyTunes - doesn't overwrite your Profiler profile. If a profile is set, it will replace "%song" with your currently playing song. So you can do "Hi, I'm currently listening to %song."
* FightClub - server changed, it now works again.
* And some miscellaneous bug fixes.

Some other plugins that just missed the cutoff for JAMS 2.0 are a cool buddy icon picker, and the ability to go away when your Bluetooth phone goes out of range. Also, future builds will integrate better with the AIM Triton UI, instead of the (admittedly clumsy) tray icon.

very nice. just one thing I see so far is you need html support in the profile at least enough to allow for hyperlinks and naming the hyperlinks

Yes I would like a cool buddy icon picker to be added and html coding to be used in profiles where I can set an img src to a http web address of a pic to show the pic in the profile and not the html coding.

You can enter HTML into Profiler right now... we can do a lot better but you can enter the raw tags... e.g. <HTML><BODY><A HREF="http://journals.aol.com/juberti/runningman">My Blog</A></BODY></HTML>

I don't like having JAMS 2.0 installed. I just like to install it to make my profile and that's it then I go to go uninstall it from the install dir and then delete all the registry entries and unistall and reinstall the new aim triton beta 6 as the aim icon on system tray disappears after JAMS 2.0 is installed. I don't care that the Icon for JAMS 2.0 is there becasue when you double click on it or right click on it you can't load aim trition beta 6 from it and I get confused and don't know when aim is runnign or not and it's such a hassle. Can you see about fixing this so possibly the JAMS 2.0 icon is gone and AIM Icon is back or when we double click on the icon for JAMS 2.0 it brings up AIM Trition Beta 6 Buddy List and when right clicking we get the same menu as the AIM Trition BEta 6 Icon we had in System Tray Thanks but very disasified.

I don't think your issue with the AIM Triton tray icon has anything to do with JAMS. I have seen the same problem with the tray icon disappearing when JAMS is not present, so I think it is a bug with AIM Triton beta 6.

We will be getting rid of the JAMS tray icon so that you can access the JAMS commands directly from the Triton buddy list.

How do I add winamp's current song into my profile?

To enable auto-adding of your music to your profile, install JAMS (make sure MyTunes is enabled from the Triton plugins page) and then add the text "%song" to your profile. For example, if I set my profile to "I'm listening to %song", this will show up in my profile as "I'm listening to They Might Be Giants - Ana Ng"

Any tips or example source you might be able to share so developers can start playing with the plugin API?  I'd like to get started ASAP.

I love this product, but I have a few things.  When I added stuff to the profile editor, I couldn't edit it.  Whatever I put ended up staying no matter what.  Also, for one of the screename's I hit dissable profile by accident and whenever I click enable profile it never comes back.  I can click enable in jams manager and in Triton area but it doesn't come back.

Triton is having an issue with their away messages showing up for linked screename's.  When I go to view buddy info for the main linked name, the away message and jams profile both show up.  When I go to view any of the other name's, the jams profile's aren't there.  It says no buddy info and doesn't show the away message even though it shows as being up on Triton.  I went to buddy express (whatever it's called) and all the away message's show up there for some reason, but the jam's profile's aren't there except for the main linked screename.  This was working with the last build of Triton because I've always had Triton and Jams and every profile, away message showed up.

When I try to install JAMS 2.0, I get an error saying "This application has failed to start because MSVCR71.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." Any idea what's wrong? Thanks.

Would be awesome if with the MyTunes plugin we could use the %song variable in conversations too.
