JAMS 2.5 has been released and can be downloaded here.
It is compatible with AIM Triton 1.0 and later, please "Exit AIM" from
the Triton menu before installing. Descriptions of all the JAMS
plugins are available on the JAMS home page (now with screenshots!)
What's new:
* IconMaker - set your custom buddy icon from any image file.
You can crop the image to get just what you want in your buddy icon.

sending a SMS message from your mobile phone. (by Alan, the director
for our group!)
Bug fixes:
* The bug where Colorizer did not work if you had customized your font has been fixed.
* EZLogger now displays an error message if you try to read a log that does not exist.

Update 4:17 PM 1/10/2006:
* The initial version of JAMS 2.5 had an issue where the displayed
version numbers said 2.2. This has been resolved with the latest
jams25.exe.
* To use MobileControl, you must first set the mobile phone number you
will be using. Currently, you must do this from the Actions menu, "Set
Mobile Phone Number". This will pop up a dialog where you can set your
number, and also display the commands you can send. The currently
supported commands are "@away msg" and "@info username".
* The Settings buttons do not work in JAMS 2.5, because it requires a
new AIM Triton (version 1.2) that has not yet been released. Look for
it soon.

I just realized that earlier in the blog it said that it was a bug in AIM Triton and will be fixed in Triton 1.2 *sigh*
hmm kinda wierd, they release jams 2.5 before aim triton new build.
So what number do we text to set ourselves as away? I believe already have the number to text my screenname from then what format do i send the message in?
and why is it jams 2.5 when all the plugins say version 2.2

ok nevermind my last post i didn't see the action menu or your update. I did get it to work except i found a bug in the mobileaway. when you set yourself as away it shows that you are away in the system tray except it doesnt show that you are away at the top of the buddylist. and i dont know if this is expected behavior but when retrieving buddy info it says
screenname's status is currently (at least on my phone) "e;away".
instead of the actual message or whats in the buddy profile. and i supose on other phones it might actually show quotes correctly
Nice work on this one... Installed and executed with no problems. Any thoughts of adding a plug-ins folder somewhere in the AIM folder so all plug ins can be executed into that folder instead of in their own folder on the hard drive?

ksc2l8, the bug where the top of the buddy list is not updated with your state is getting fixed for the next release. When we were testing the mobile away we all caught problem...so hopefully the UI guys can get that fixed real soon.
What specifically is the rate limit for AIM. The plugin I'm developing needs to avoid the limit. Thanks for your quick reply.
I have two linked screennames, and the 2nd one keeps using colorizer even though I have it disabled. The first screenname is set correctly, no colors. Unless I've missed some sort of setting or tweak somewhere, I'll uninstall and try the next version that fixes this.
Question: When is the new release of AIM coming out?
There is a problem with the icon maker. When you change the icon to a picture from the My Pictures folder, it shows up as the icon that you just created in the IM window but not in the buddy list. Can you fix this in an upcoming JAMS version?
Another problem is that the Settings button doesn't work. Please fix this or go back to the system tray icon for the settings management.

I still don't get it... how do I a) make my font stop changing to rediculous colors by itself and b) view my logs...

I finally got triton 1.2 today and the settings buttons still don't work.
I'm using 1.2.5.1 and my settings buttons still don't work.
the MyTunes does not work for.. I tried to add %song in my profile, but not showing up for some reason. Any idea why? I'm playing my song in Winamp
